Obi is currently in the Ballers Division sitting at 56-42-1, good for 3rd in the league, and a 4 games lead over division rival Komputers ‘Puting. Speedsters in the RoC Nation is playing unenthusiastic basketball with a record of 50-48-1, sits in 7th position, 16.5 games behind division leader and league leader, NYK FTW.
Now in season 3, WTT has reached 21 trades. Of those 21 trades, Speedsters has been involved in 12, good for over half the trades this season. The other team, Obi persuading and trading has 8 moves on the ledger; combined these teams were only uninvolved 1 trade! Something tells me if the league office did an investigation they would somehow find a connection to them on the trade “missed” (3.07 for those following the WTT league at home). These are two heavyweight GMs that live by the motto “Be sure you don’t forget about me”.

You always have to be careful with diving too deep into analysis in a trade with these two because both team’s phone lines stay busy, while in the background collecting assets and fishing for their next deal.
Lets take a pause and give thanks for the bold and fearless general managers, Obi persuading and trading and never seen a speed bump Speedsters. There diamonds shine bright, providing a constant stream of thought provoking deals, never making opposing managers comfortable no matter how high they are in the standings
Obi has a strategic mission to dominate 5 categories and has done so in convincing fashion thus far: FT% (9-2), 3PTM (9-2), AST(8-3), STL (8-3), and TO (7-4). Points is not a weak category as they have gone 6-5 there. So why did Obi trade once seen as un-tradable asset Murray? Maybe something changed with Obi’s evaluation of Murray’s future outlook when the hawks traded to acquire Murray. Murray’s largest contribution comes from the steals category where he swipes at a rate of 1.7 per game, next strongest category is assists where he dishes out 6.2/game, and then points he is putting up 20.5/game. 3s and FT%V, he is even value at 1.9 and .840 on 2.8/game respectively.
On the other side of the ledger both Rozier and Vuc have a similar points, turnover and FT%V, But here is where things get interesting; the two give a slight net bump to 3s, significant boost in rebounds, a significant downgrade in steals and fg% if Rozier shooting woes continue.
As for Speedsters, my lower legs hurt trying to analyze his team, a team lacking an identity until both Devins return, and Leonard and RW3 become full time basketball players. But anways ….
Lets look at the money side of things. Obi is sitting $6 into the luxury tax and Speedsters has plenty of soft-cap money, its not even worth to list. Murray is on $14/2 and Vuc is $24/1 and Rozier $1/4, dead contracts Obi $6/2, and Bamba $3/1. Money side things look even with Obi ready to spend more in next year after trading Murray.

- Obi and Speedsters have both won 7 of their 11 matchups (Killa thinks Obi and Speedsters got bored of their roster and the trade itch was too hard to ignore)
- Obi decides to hedge his bet and invest in defense (Killa thinks Obi’s best defense is his offense)
- Obi buys low into Terry Rozier betting he can snap out his shooting concerns (Killa thinks maybe he does but Wemby is a concern in the short-term maybe not in the future
- Speedsters needs guard help with both Devins projected to miss significant time (Killa thinks Atlanta Hawks are not having fun playing basketball and Murray is overrated)
- Speedsters now has a front court of RW3, Claxton, PJ Washington, Jalen Duren (Killa thinks that is alot to ask for that group on a night to night basis)
