I needed a player with part of my name on the roster, and Nembhard was a target in the previous sets of picks in the 9th and 10th rounds. However, I decided to spin the wheel one more time, hoping to grab him later, and yup, here we are! There’s a lot to like about Nembhard, especially his assists; he averaged about 4.5 assists per game in his rookie season while putting up close to 10 points per game. Before being shut down for the 2023 summer league, he averaged 17.5 points on 46% shooting from the field, 100% at the line on 2.5 attempts, 7.5 assists, and 2 steals per game. If Nembhard can carve out 27 minutes a game, I predict he could reach 12 points per game, 4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1 steal per game.

At pick 12.3 another name I targeted was ready for the taken. As has been the case in this draft series, I love and value players that scored less than 6 points in international or college ball. But I trust my development team’s process.

Think we are seeing evidence of his potential, only 20, in the G-League most recently averaged 22.2 points on 45% fg, 3.7 assist, 2 Blocks, and 2 steals a game.
