Happy Fall! The clock has officially gone back, and at least in the states, we are re-learning how to drive and commute home in the dark! But on a brighter side, a little extra light in the morning is quite nice, and certainly the Brooklyn Phoeniks could use it. We are in the middle of Week 3 of the Association Fantasy season. Lets overreact
- Titanes de San Juan is the #1 team in the standings in the association, with “second places” Great Danes with the same record but someone losing the tiebreaker. Right, the tiebreaker is based of last week performance of which Titanes finished stronger than the Danes with 7 wins compared to 6. Who will finish top team at the end of the season?
- Opposite end of the spectrum, Brooklyn Phoeniks is currently a poverty franchise sitting at 4-13-1, 7 games behind the division leading bombers, and, 4.5 games behind the 8th playoff spot, Frankfurt 17ers. Can he turn this ship around?
- Both the NBA and ABA conferences have an even split of teams currently in the playoff run.
- The usual names are in playoff contention: Danes, Titanes, Dynasty, 17ers, Bombers, Busters (non tanking), Speedsters, Solid state
- The usual names are fighting for their lives: SteveBlakeExpress, Sunroofers, Knickerbockers, Moneymen, Sparrows, Grizzlies, Kings, Pheoniks
- Playoff Staple. Danes have not missed the playoffs since going back to back seasons 2014 (Season 2) and 2015 (Season 3) missing the dance
- Fans are growing Tired. Since moving to Syracuse Sparrows has 0 playoff experiences
- Solid State is undefeated in the fg% category. Longest streak is 4, he is currently in the driver seat to extend that streak to 3.
- FT% is wacky, and volatility is real, no team has a streak longer than 1!
- 3s and Points, REbounds are following a similar pattern to FT% with no active win streak. Maybe this can be contributed to scheduling challenges, injuries, matchups, interesting to minotor.
- The Dynasty is sharing and caring, looking to extend his assists winning streak of 2. Has a comfortable lead against Titanes.
- Rucker Park busters has two of the best young shot blockers in the game, “slim towers”, Wemby and Chet, yet their were unable to come away with the blocks category victory against Speedsters, as JJJ by himself showed why he is the defending block leader, totaling 9 in a week that Wemby and Chet combined for 12 blocks. Fast forward to week 2 and Wemby has 11 blocks and Chet 7 blocks while JJJ has 7 blocks, consistency in blocks is a fluid situation.
- Injuries lets talk about them. Rucker Park Busters has 3 INJ guys through three weeks soft tissue Devin Booker, Cant get Right Thomas and who cars about Vanderbilt. Sparrows relatively healthy.
- Titanes just lost CJ McCollum, as he suffers from a collapse lungs, likely this teams collapses in the standings.
- Speedsters has missed Cam Johnson but his team is so deep it has not matter much. Jalen Duren has been given what i call rest days quite frequently to start the season, will have to monitor that
- Brooklyn Phoeniks, injuries is the name of the game. Claxton has not suited up for Phoeniks, WCJr. picked up his usual injury and will be sidelined for a month. Vassell, banged up for week 2, but was a suprise return in week 3. Jamal Murray has a soft tissue injury and Brooklyn will be lucky to see him before X-mas. Terry Rozier typical grion injury, hopefully he is back for Turkey day. Scoot was basically Injured before getting the designation, collecting way too much carido for my liking with no stats to show. Posion Ivey! is struggling with an illness.
- SteveBlakeExpress learned why RobertWilliams was traded so much, will be having surgery he probably should of had seaons agao. Amen Thompson suffered an injury. Ben Simmons back flare ups maybe something to monitor.
- Sunroofers is relatively healthy with no injuries, but chemistry has been an issue early on
- Great Danes will be losing Tyler Hero to possibly Xmas. Anthony Davis is back to Day-to-Day. Otherwise has the depth to battle without AD, especally owing the other high usage laker and King.
- Speaking of the Kings, they started off with multiple key injures but now having Shai back and Beal returning, no injuries to note and laying the smackdown on Phoeniks
- Miami Moneymen is fairly thin and lost Simons to an early injury, and now kessler is out a few weeks, sitting in 15th place, panic button might be pressed soon.
- Knickbockers have no injuries to note but slow start and a rough road ahead.
- Flyers are missing Fox but otherwise a healthy start to the season.
- Solid state has no notable injuries and a solid start, although currently against the rope vs the Grizzlies.
- Kranston Killers has no injuries and in prime from.
- Grizzlies have no new injuries.
- SteveBlake Express: Was looking good through two weeks but now is dealing with Ben Simmons hip, Herbert Jones is banged up and Robert Williams Knee gives out, and Amen has got a lower leg injury. Will be tested the next couple of weeks.
- Best Waiver Adds through Week 1: Jalen Johnson ($1), Cam Thomas ($Free99), DFS ($3), Dilon Brooks ($Free99)
- Best Stash MArcus Sasser ($Free99), Jordan Hawkins ($Free99) both by Moneymen, could this be a sign selling might be on the horizon
- Phoeniks loves the number 2, as in 2 category wins in Week 1 and 2 and with great certainty yet another week! Players only meeting is in progress and the training and health staff fired!
- Moneymen loves the number 3, and has yet to surpass 3 category wins but looking to upset Speedsters in Week 3, currently with 5 wins!
- Knickerbockers are a heavy favorite to lose their third straight matchup, GM job is on the line
- Sparrows is playing that 4:44, But hes gotta do better, boy, he owes it to Dame!
- Danes, Speedsters, Bombers, Titanes are the only undefeated teams, i.e. 2-0 in matchup wins. Titanes looks like a strong favorite to drop. We can pencil danes in for a 3-0 start. Both Speedsters and Bombers backs are against the ropes
- Players calling out the orginization to the media: Moneymen & Knickerboxkers
- Chants of overrated: Phoeniks
- Surprise Starts: Titanes, Bombers
- Trending Upwards: Kings
