Week 6 and Brooklyn Phoeniks finally gets their first matchup win of the 2023 Season, beating Knickerbockers 7-0-1! Its been a rough start to the season going 2-6, 2-7, 3-5, 3-5, 3-6 to start the first five weeks of the season. My numbers people do you see a pattern, weekly win total are headed in the right direction! Maybe this will help jumpstart the season and out of the ashes they rise.
Moneymen has yet to capture a matchup win, and fans are becoming increasingly frustrated; GM is on the hot seat! Knickerbockers are in a similar boat losing their first 6 matchups and fans are calling for the owners head and tearing apart the city. Common themes from both franchises have been “Trust the Process” but New York and Miami has no time for that and want results now! Look out for big moves from both franchises as both GMs try to keep their jobs.
Don’t look now but Great Danes continues the win streak to 6 wins capturing a 5-4 victory against Miami Moneymen. An impressive start to the season, for a team that hangs most regular season banners in the Association. These sneaky ninjas, went dumpster diving and claimed key veterans in both Khris Middleton, and Andrew Wiggins. The rich get richer!
Two contenders in Rucker Park Busters and Frankfurt 17ers met up in Week 6. RPB was the second hottest team in the association, winners of 4 straight, and 17ers has been inconsistent to start. But consistent he was in Week 6 putting the busters on notice capturing a convincing 6-3 victory. Busters as the saying goes, you got knock …. out
TRADE Season
Kawhi Leonard ($77) is on the move to Titanes de San Juan in exchange for Brandon Miller ($0) and Jordan Poole ($43) to Syracuse Sparrows. Kawhai Leonard is the best player in the trade, and therefore by default you would be a gambler to say Sparrows won the trade, hands down Titanes wins the trade today. But i have a crystal ball yall so heres why i grade Sparrows as winner.
- The Klaw is ranked 20 on the season by averages, 17th by totals and is playing back to backs (wow surprise). But Leonard with harden has been underwhelming, however its still early! If history is a good predictor of the future, we are counting down until Leonard’s next knee injury.
- Brandon miller has looked really good and surpass my expectations so far his rookie season. He is a cheap asset and has the tools to be a top 100 player by next season, possibly top 60, especially if fwds bridges and gordon hayward time is up in Charllote
- Jordan Poole has solidified himself as a bum; however this bum can become an asset later in the season if the numbers look right and is trending in the right direction. Long term probably has no future on the sparrows but short term, if he gets hot near the trade deadline could be flipped for another long term asset
- Why did i conclude Sparrows as the winner? It all comes down to health and history and betting on Leonard, it feels like deja vu in the association and maybe Titanes made the bet at the right time?
Miami Moneymen agrees to send Anferenee Simons ($19) to Van City Grizzlies for Jeremy Sochan ($1) and Keldon Johnson ($14). Killanomics grades this trade as even as it gets!
- Both teams have struggled to start and wisely decided to shake things up. Some say Pop is growing out of favor and out of touch, so perhaps abandoning spurs players is the right thing to do. Or maybe will never get to see Simons on the court long enough.
- All players involved in the trade have the ability to provide top 100 value but would I bet on it? Absolutely, Sochan by end of season 2 or season 3 and Simons this season. And for simons maybe top 100 is expected so maybe lets get bold and I say he returns top 60 value, scoot is struggling and we already have seen what simons is capable without Lillard. Look for the young fella to cook once he returns
